APPLIED KINESIOLOGY

Everything is Connected

WHAT IS APPLIED KINESIOLOGY?

Kinesiology is the study of body movement, sometimes referred to as biomechanics. George Goodheart, Jr. developed the idea of Applied Kinesiology in his chiropractic practice in 1964. Also known as muscle strength testing, Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a form of diagnosis and treatment based on the connection between the different muscles, organs, and glands in your body.  Specific weakness in your muscles may signify internal problems elsewhere in your body, such as nerve damage, decreased blood flow, chemical imbalances, or other problems.

HOW IS IT USED?

Practitioners, including our Dr. Chance O'Looney, can use Applied Kinesiology to diagnose and treat problems with the nervous system, dietary deficiencies or excesses, imbalances in energy, and a wide variety of other symptoms and conditions. If your body can not work in cooperation with its entirety, it can't work properly at all. Applied Kinesiology can often be the solution or help find the root of the problem.
